The Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST) has taken a significant step toward expanding digital inclusion with the acquisition of 350 National Identity Number (NIN) enrolment devices.
The devices were formally handed over at NIPOST’s headquarters in Abuja by a delegation from the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), led by its Country Director, Eunsub Kim. The equipment was received by NIPOST’s Postmaster General and Chief Executive Officer, Tola Odeyemi.
Odeyemi commended KOICA and the government of South Korea for their support, describing the intervention as a major boost to Nigeria’s digital inclusion agenda. She said the additional devices will enhance NIPOST’s capacity to provide accessible NIN registration services across the country, particularly in rural and underserved communities.

In his remarks, Kim praised NIPOST’s role in advancing national digital development, noting that South Korea’s support is part of an ongoing initiative known as Building Foundations Towards Digital Governance in Nigeria.
He explained that the NIN enrolment devices come with pre-installed software and are accompanied by training and deployment support, ensuring effective rollout and sustainable use nationwide.
