Corrections Policy

Last updated: 5th November, 2026

Our commitment

We aim to get it right the first time. When we make a mistake, we correct it quickly, openly and clearly.

What we correct

We correct factual errors, including wrong names, titles, figures, dates, quotes, captions and attributions, as well as misleading headlines or context.

How we correct

  • Minor errors (such as spelling, typos or small details that do not change the meaning of the story) are fixed quietly.
  • Factual errors are fixed in the article, and a note at the  bottom of the story says what was changed and when, for example: “Correction, [date]: An earlier version of this article incorrectly stated [X]. The article has been updated.”
  • Significant errors that affect the meaning or fairness of a story may be corrected with a prominent note, and where needed we also share the correction on our social media channels.
  • Updates: where new information emerges, we add an update note with a date instead of silently changing the story.
  • Retractions: if a story cannot be supported by the facts, we may remove it and explain why.

We do not delete errors without a note when the change would affect how readers understand the story.

How to request a correction

If you believe we have made an error, email newsroom@thefintechinsights.com with:

  1. The link to the article
  2. The statement you believe is wrong
  3. The correct information, with evidence or a source where possible
  4. Your name and contact details

What happens next

We aim to acknowledge requests within two working days and review them promptly. If the request is justified, we will correct the story. If we decide not to change it, we will explain our reasoning. Requests to remove articles because they are unflattering or inconvenient will not be accepted if the reporting is accurate, but we will consider requests that involve safety, legal issues or privacy concerns.

Right of reply

People and organisations named in our stories may submit a response. Where appropriate, we will add it to the article or publish it separately.

Sponsored content

Corrections to partner or sponsored content are the responsibility of the sponsor, but we will publish them when they affect the accuracy of the content.
